Meet neighbors at the park

Build great things together

Celebrate our diverse cultures

Protect our historic houses

Dear Neighbors,

In these trying times, it's a good reminder that we are hunkered down together with our fellow SUN neighbors. We are a community and we look out for each other; let’s keep our social connection strong even from a safe physical distance. It is especially important to check in with friends, family, and neighbors during these hard times, using whatever online or virtual medium that may be most comfortable to you.

Here are some local resources to help during this shelter-in-place:

SUN Accomplishments

  • More than 100 new trees within SUN boundaries
  • O’Donnell’s Garden Park at 6th and William Streets, the first new downtown park in more than 100 years
  • Mural at 8th and William streets restored
  • Reed Historic District signage at 7th and 280
  • Dumpster days and monthly trash pickups organized, funded, and volunteered for the past 10 years
